We rescued the business in 2014. The cabins were the prize, built in 1989. They are beautiful riverside log cabins with decks and docks. Continuous year-over-year cabin occupancy growth has the business positioned for continued success. We use our website (www.paintriverlanding.com) and AirBnB to generate continued growth on top of a solid base of repeat customers.
Our peak cabin rental season is June through November. Summer is great. September and October with fall colors and bird hunting match the summer for occupancy. November brings deer hunters, and the cabins are full. Winter has great potential for additional growth with nearby skiing, hiking, and snowmobile trails.
Renting canoes, kayaks, fishing kayaks and pontoon boats adds another revenue stream. Canoe and Kayak rentals are strong. Pontoon boat rentals will take off this year (2021). Other rental streams (mountain bikes, ATVs, etc.) waiting to be implemented.
